Off to Jamaica!

If you're reading this, it's because you have a vested interest in the 2013 HPC Youth Mission Trip to the Jamaica Deaf Village. Thank you for stopping by to check on us! During our week in Jamaica, we will update this blog every day. My goal is for each person on the team to write a blog post during the week. Please feel free to leave comments. It's always nice to hear from loved ones back home.

Jamaica Team Prayer Calendar

June 8^th: Pray for safe travels!

June 9^th: Pray for a restful Sabbath day and for our students to enjoy worshipping with the deaf

June 10^th: Our first day of work! Pray for safety, a hard work ethic, and for our students to depend on God as they encounter challenges

June 11^th: May be our day to work at an orphanage. Pray for our team to have a loving attitude toward the orphans, and for them to consider how God has adopted each of us who are in Christ into his family.

June 12^th: Another construction day. Pray for safety, and for our team to continue to build stronger bonds with each other as we work.

June 13^th: Our final work day. Pray for a sense of accomplishment and a desire to finish the job. Also, pray that our team would begin to reflect on all that God has done in their hearts and lives to that point.

June 14^th: Our free day. Pray for a relaxing, restful time as we enjoy the beauty of YS Falls. Pray for our team to reflect on the wonder of God’s creation and to be thankful for this time of recreation.

June 15^th: Pray for a safe return home!
